Several pieces of hardware can be used as Input and Output devices in FLEX. The image below gives an overview of what is currently supported.

Note that we are not responsible or accountable for the hardware we use. It needs to be working correctly in Windows before we can link to FLEX.

DATA INPUT

Barcode Scanners
A barcode scanner is a simple data entry system, which scans a bar code and then puts in a "Character Return" (i.e. hits ENTER). On your training, we will show you where this could be useful. This is a plug and play device (needs no setup / configuration)

Tracers
Trace files can be loaded into FLEX, and tracers can also be linked directly. You will find the details for this in the PC setup.

Touchscreen Monitors
Touchscreen monitors can be used with FLEX. They may be especially useful in the Till module. This is a plug and play device (needs no setup / configuration)

Mouse and Keyboard
The most obvious forms of data input and entry, FLEX generally is mouse based, with obvious exceptions. These are plug and play devices (need no setup / configuration)

DATA OUTPUT

A4 / Standard Printers
As long as these are able to print a test page in Windows, they can be linked into FLEX in the PC setup.

Receipt Printers
As long as these are able to print a test page in Windows, they can be linked into FLEX in the PC setup. We recommend the Epson TM-T88V

DYMO (Address) Labels
These can be printed through FLEX, but the labels need to be set up in your DYMO software. More details here.

Zebra (Barcode) Labels
These can be printed through FLEX, but the labels need to be set up in FLEX. More details here. We recommend the Zebra LP2824+
