 How Do I Use Formulae?

This help page covers using basic Formulae. Please also see Fixed Frame Pricing and Graduated Steps

Enter your Formula Group names in the top window. This is so you can split the formulae up, for example Frames, Lenses, Accessories.

In the Formula Calculations window, work from left to right across the columns. The screenshot above shows that FLEX will talk you through the boxes.
  • Enter a Code Description
  • Enter the Calculation in a similar method to using Excel, using COST or BOOK.
  • Enter the Minimum Price, Rounding (and its Direction) and then enter an Example amount.
  • The calculated Result will appear if your formula is acceptable. The date it was last Updated is also shown.
To use Fixed Frame Pricing, the Calculation box should only show FRAMEFIX - this is case sensitive.
To use Graduated Steps, the Calculation box should include STEPS.

To use any of these formulae on a frame (or any stock item), please see How Do I Add a Frame
