 Medical Assessment (Clinical)

The medical assessment screen is similar to what can be seen in the Sight Examination Record. On opening the new contact lens record, the date, time and type of the test are filled out automatically. The Optician can be selected from the drop-down list.

Firstly a General Assessment can be carried out using the dropdown menus to note whether the patient drives, uses screens regularly and also their dominant eye. The patient's Occupation can also be entered using the dropdown, or if it is not in the list, it can be added using the green plus button.

Next, the patient's Medication can be added by dragging items from the available medicines list into the Current Medication box. Right-click to remove a medication.

Whenever a new sight test, contact lens or pre-exam record is created the most recent details are automatically loaded in, regardless of which type of test was done previously. For example, if you have a previous pre-exam record and open a new contract lens record, it will load the details from the previous pre-exam record or vice versa. This means that whenever you open a new record, the details will always be up-to-date and can be amended as necessary.

Now, we can move on to the Clinical Assessment
